Pomskies

Pomeranian x Husky = A Pint-Sized Powerhouse!

What's a Pomsky Look Like?

Pomskies are typically double or triple coated, much like their larger Husky predecessors with medium to long plush coats.

They're typically three sizes-

  • Standard Pomsky - 14 -18 inches tall and between 25-40 pounds, lives for 12-16 years.

  • Mini - Up to 14 inches tall and between 12-20 pounds, lives for 13-18 years.

  • Toy Pomsky - Under 10 inches tall and up to 15 pounds, lives for 14-20+ years.

How are the different sized Pomskies Bred?

A dog in either size category remains a Pomeranian-Husky mix, but each size has its own particular diet, activity and lifestyle needs and usually a different percentage of each breed's genetics. For example, an F2 Pomsky may be smaller and carry more Pomeranian traits than Husky while still looking the same as their F1 counterparts who may be larger due to a more balanced percentage of parentage. F1 Pomskies are Pomskies that carry equal Husky and Pomeranian genetics whereas F2 Pomskies carry more of either the Husky or Pomeranian genetics. Regardless of size, all Pomskies are adapatable to virtually any environment and can thrive as household pets, service animals and anything in between!

Temperment:

Pomskies, a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian, are generally known for being intelligent, playful, and affectionate, but their temperament can vary. They tend to be energetic and require regular exercise, but they also enjoy cuddling and bonding with their families. Early socialization and consistent training are important to manage potential stubbornness and ensure they get along with other pets and children
